Bin Deng graduated from Peking University in 2023 with a master’s degree in Materials Physics and Chemistry. There, her research focused on designing novel electrochromic materials for energy-saving smart windows. At Northwestern University, she joined the Sargent group in conducting research on short-wave infrared (SWIR) InAs colloidal quantum dots. Her work focuses on improving device reliability and performance by investigating surface defects in quantum dots and interfacial defects in quantum dot–based devices.
