Dr. Bin Chen
Research Assistant Professor
Bin Chen is a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. He received his Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from Arizona State University in 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Sefaattin Tongay. His graduate research was on understanding defects in 2D materials. Before joining Northwestern, he was a postdoc at the University of Toronto where he studied perovskites, quantum dots and their optoelectronic devices. His current focus is on defect passivation and stability enhancement of interfaces in perovskite solar cells.
