Dr. Yali Ji

Yali Ji obtained her Ph.D. degree from Fudan University, China, under the supervision of Prof. Gengfeng Zheng in 2023. Her Ph.D. studies focused on structure-performance relationship of catalysts in CO2RR, CORR and C-N coupling reaction. She joined the Sargent group at Northwestern University as a postdoc fellow in May 2024, with research interests in electrocatalytic carbon utilization and mechanism study.

Dr. Xiaoming Xu

Xiaoming Xu received his Ph.D. degree at Nanjing University on June, 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Zhaosheng Li. His Ph.D. studies mainly focused on the activation mechanism and regulation strategy of H2O2 molecules in water purification and organic reaction. He joined the Sargent Group as a postdoctoral fellow on October 2024.

Dr. Jin Hou

Jin Hou received the Ph.D. degree in 2024 from Rice University under the supervision of Prof. Aditya Mohite, with research interests in 2D perovskites synthesis, growth mechanism and control. He joined the Sargent group as a postdoctoral fellow in Oct 2024, working on perovskites solar cells, and synthesis of perovskites crystals.

Dr. Linrui Duan

Linrui Duan received his Ph.D degree from Nankai University, China, where he mainly focused on perovskite solar cell research during his doctoral studies. In June 2024, he joined Professor Ted Sargent’s group as a visiting scholar, concentrating on the research of highly efficient and stable single-junction and tandem devices.

Dr. Donghoon Shin

Donghoon Shin received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University under the supervision of Prof. Chad A. Mirkin. In 2024, he joined the Sargent lab as a postdoctoral fellow. His research centers on advancing halide perovskite tandem solar cells, with a particular focus on understanding carrier dynamics and photophysics at layer interfaces.

Dr. Yongxiang Liang

Yongxiang Liang received his Ph.D. degree at University of Science and Technology of China on December, 2023, under the supervision of Prof. Jie Zeng. His Ph.D. studies mainly focused on the structure-performance relationship of catalysts in CO2RR and CORR. He joined the Sargent Group as a postdoctoral fellow on February 2024 with research interests in propylene epoxidation and energy storage.
