Hengzhou Liu received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering in August 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Wenzhen Li. His research primarily focused on exploring electrochemical processing of biorenewables and waste carbon and nitrogen feedstock for chemicals and fuels manufacturing. He joined the Sargent group as a postdoctoral fellow in September 2022 with research interests in CO2 capture and conversion.
Dr. Cheng Liu
Cheng Liu received his Ph.D. degree in Dec. 2021, from the Department of Renewable Energy and Clean Energy, under the supervision of Prof. Songyuan Dai at North China Electric Power University in Beijing, China. From 2019 to 2021, he studied as a visiting Ph.D. student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in Sion, Switzerland, under the guidance of Prof. Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin. His Ph.D. studies mainly focused on the fabrication of efficient and stable all-inorganic perovskite solar cells and modules. He joined the Sargent group as a postdoctoral fellow in May 2022, and is jointly advised by Prof. Mercouri G. Kanatzidis. His current research interests revolve around perovskite solar cells and radiation detectors.
Dr. Cong Tian
Dr. Cong Tian: Cong Tian received his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the institute of organic and biomolecular chemistry, University of Gottingen, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Lutz Ackermann in 2020. His research was focused on transition metals catalyzed electrochemical C-H activation. He joined the Sargent group in Feb. 2021 as a postdoc fellow with a research interest in CO2 reduction and biomass valorization enabled by electrochemistry.
